A ground-breaking event was held for a new East Midlands Institute of Technology building, at Derby College.

The facility – being built at the front of the College’s Stephenson building on the Roundhouse campus in Derby – will feature state-of-the-art classrooms and collaborative workspace.

The East Midlands Institute of Technology (EMIoT) is an innovative partnership between Loughborough College, Derby College Group, Loughborough University and the University of Derby.
From September 2024 it will begin delivering the very best in technical education for students – from T-Levels through to postgraduate education - with high-quality training and qualifications in engineering, digital and professional construction. EMIoT will focus on skills for a green economy, future energy and leadership in those fields.
