The first of two East Midlands Institute of Technology 'IoT Inspire' webinars on the growth of the hydrogen energy sector in the UK and region has been held.
Expert speakers spoke on 'Hydrogen Energy and its growth in the East Midlands', for the webinar. The speakers were Andy Lewis, Regional Development Manager for Hydrogen at Cadent Gas, and Jude Knight, Head of Low Carbon Skills at Cogent Skills.
The webinar gave an overview of hydrogen energy and its use, looked at plans in place for hydrogen generation and storage in the East Midlands, and discussed examples of businesses currently using hydrogen.
A second webinar, on developing workers' skills for the future for the hydrogen sector, will be held on April 14th.
