Our Sites  Through its partnership with the University of Derby, Derby College, Loughborough College and Loughborough University; the East Midlands Institute of Technology has access to partners' sites and resources, as well as its own.  Read more about the partner sites and their resources where East Midlands IoT students will learn :

Computing / technology hub, University of Derby Enterprise Centre, Bridge St, Derby 

Based at the University of Derby (UoD) Enterprise Centre, a short walk from the UoD main site at Kedleston Road. 
This state-of-the-art facility for digital, computer games animation, design and mechatronics subject students was opened in September 2023. 
It supports courses such as the UoD’s popular BA (Hons) Computer Games Modelling and Animation degree

East Midlands IoT new facility at Derby College - opening late 2024 

The EMIoT’s new facility at partner Derby College’s Roundhouse Campus (at the front of the Stephenson building) will open to our first cohort of students later this year (2024). It will feature state-of-the-art classrooms and collaborative workspaces, designed to provide students with a hands-on and immersive learning experience. 
Onsite work for the construction is being led by Ellis Boyall, Site Manager for Davlyn Construction and a Derby College graduate! 

East Midlands IoT new facility at Loughborough College - opening spring 2025 

The three-storey, £6.5million technical learning hub at partner Loughborough College’s main Radmoor Road site is due to open in spring 2025. 
It will feature nine new classrooms, four science labs, two open plan working spaces and three offices. 
 
Once completed, the East Midlands will be home to College-based students on engineering, electronics, digital and business courses. 
Construction is by Lindum Group. The new building will have low energy demand features; including technologies such as mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, heat pumps for heating and hot water, and solar panels for greater sustainability.
